But a powerful new technology called single cell sequencing is starting to fill in the picture of how, exactly, an individual cell operates. By quickly and cheaply analyzing thousands of cells in one experiment, it’s now possible to capture the cellular culprits for certain conditions and watch how cells might interact with their microscopic peers.
