Member benefits tailored to neurology and neuroscience students include:

  • The Annual Meeting, held in the fall, is the premier conference for late-breaking research and networking in academic neurology. The meeting convenes thousands of the nation's top academic neurologists and neuroscientists to share research on a broad spectrum of specialties and diseases. From carefully created scientific symposia, well-attended interactive lunch workshops, poster sessions, and career development programs with practical tips on applying for grants, there is a wealth of opportunities for students at the Annual Meeting. Student ANA members receive discounts on registration and abstract submissions, and have the opportunity to receive a travel award or poster prize.
  • Students value the opportunity to submit an abstract for presentation at the Annual Meeting, where hundreds of the nation’s top academics offer feedback and ideas. In addition, those submitting an abstract may be chosen to present a 10-minute data blitz presentation during a plenary session and be eligible for poster prizes and recognition at the meeting.

  • MentorLink, the ANA’s online platform, connects you to ANA faculty outside of your institution who have similar career interests to share ideas, professional advice and the insights needed to excel in academic neurology.

  • The Translational and Clinical Research Course, held at the Annual Meeting, offers selected research fellows, residents, and junior faculty strategies for developing effective research grant proposals and advancing in academic neurology.

  • OnDEC, the ANA’s On Demand Education Center, allows you to earn AMA PRA Category I Credit(s)™ anywhere, from any device by giving you access to recordings from the ANA Annual Meeting, the biennial Translational and Clinical Research course, and other ANA educational offerings.
