The president today signed H.R. 6157, which includes FY 2019 funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other agencies. The package provides $39.1 billion for NIH, a $2 billion (5.4 percent) increase over the comparable FY 2018 funding level.
The ANA thanks all Representatives and Senators who voted for the conference agreement, as well as Appropriations and Labor-HHS Subcommittee leadership in both parties for continuing their commitment to robust, sustainable growth for NIH and for completing the spending bill on time for the first time in 22 years.
