Opportunity to Advocate for Neuroscience and Science Policy

The American Neurological Association (ANA) is teaming up with the American Brain Coalition (ABC) to host virtual Capitol Hill Days on Wednesday, November 17 and Thursday, November 18, 2021. These Hill Days are an opportunity for the brain community’s voice to be heard on Capitol Hill among Members of Congress and their staffers. We will use these meetings as an opportunity to weigh in on our legislative advocacy efforts including federal funding for brain research including the BRAIN Initiative; federal support for the establishment of an FDA Neuroscience Center of Excellence; and supporting the Safe Step Act.

ANA members are invited to apply to participate in this event, alongside ANA and ABC leadership. Members that are chosen to participate will be expected to participate in an advocacy training webinar prior to the Hill Days, and provided with participant packets to ensure they are prepared for the meeting(s) they are selected to participate in. Each Hill Day Meeting will be approximately 30 minutes long.

Applicants must be an active ANA member in the Fellow, Member, or Associate category and reside in the United States.
