NIH Notice on Operating Under a Continuing Resolution

The NIH issued an October 21 notice regarding the current continuing resolution extending until December 11 stating, “The NIH will issue non-competing research grant awards at a level below that indicated on the most recent Notice of Award (generally up to 90% of the previously committed level). Upward adjustments to awarded levels will be considered after FY 2021 appropriations are enacted.”

 

NIA Unveils AD/ADRD Research Tracking Tool

The National Institute on Aging (NIA) in September released the new Clinical Research Operations and Management System (CROMS) to “provide NIA-wide capability to track, report, and manage our extramural clinical research data, activities, and portfolio in real time.” The initial focus of CROMS is to support Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD) clinical trials, particularly to track participant enrollment.
