August 2024

Dear ANA Members,

We are counting the days—there are just 29—until the ANA2024 begins! The meeting will be held September 14 – 17, 2024, in Orlando. This year’s meeting will include outstanding educational content, networking opportunities, the celebrated poster sessions, the latest in research and discovery, and an opportunity to connect with colleagues and friends. Register today and join us in Orlando!

Compelling Education Programming

ANA2024 will include six plenary sessions providing insight and information on several topics. In addition, ANA2024 will include Special Interest Groups (SIGs), cross-cutting SIGs, interactive lunch workshops, professional development workshops, satellite symposia, and much more!

The Presidential Symposium

I invite you to join me at the ANA2024 Presidential Symposium: Present and Future Applications of AI in Neurological Care and Research. Dr. Cassie Mitchell will co-chair this session with me as we hear perspectives on current capabilities and future promise of computational tools for the application of implantable devices and the integration of multi-omics, imaging, and clinical data toward understanding the causes, prognosis and treatment of neurological disease.

Derek Denny-Brown Young Neurological Scholar Symposium

The Derek Denny-Brown Young Neurological Scholar Symposium is an opportunity for researchers to share groundbreaking research in the field of neurology and neuroscience. This symposium will feature presentations from the 2024 Derek Denny-Brown awardees, and the recipients of the Grass Foundation-ANA Award in Neuroscience, Audrey S. Penn Lectureship and Wolfe Research Prize awardees.

Executive Session of Membership

Another important feature of the ANA Annual Meeting is the Executive Session of Membership meeting that will be held Monday, September 16, 2024, from 10:45 – 11:45 AM EDT. This meeting is your opportunity as an ANA member to get the inside info about association activities, to elect officers for service on the board of directors, and to conduct association business. I would like to congratulate the following on being nominated to serve on the ANA Board of Directors:
