On August 25, 2019, "60 Minutes" aired a special about former NFL player Tim Green and his battle with ALS. Featured in the episode is longtime ANA annual meeting speaker and winner of the Raymond D. Adams Lectureship Award, Merit Ester Cudkowicz, MD, who is the director of the Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Cudkowicz is scheduled to speak during the last plenary of ANA2019 - Optimizing Clinical Trial Design.
