Honorary Fellow Membership Nomination Form

Honorary Fellow Membership  is limited to those individuals who have distinguished themselves in one or more of the following ways:

  1. Made unique contributions that have enriched the field of neurology or the neurological sciences over a substantial period of time, which attest to the nominee’s ability as an investigator and educator whose work has clear implications for neurological disease;
  2. Made major contributions to a neurological subspecialty that also significantly impacts the entire field of neurology in terms of deserved recognition;
  3. Furthered the interest of neurology on the national and often the international level as well, and whose outstanding clinical skills are widely acknowledged; or
  4. Made substantial contributions to the American Neurological Association.

Candidates for Honorary Fellow Membership are submitted to the Honorary Membership and Awards Committee for review and elevated at the discretion of the Board of Directors. 

 Eligibility Criteria:
  1. Candidate must be an ANA member in good standing
  2. The submitter must be an ANA member in good standing
  3. Two unique letters of recommendation must be submitted. One from the individual submitting the nomination and one additional letter. Letters should discuss why the candidate should be considered for this honor, including accomplishments and contributions to the field and to the ANA
  4. Include the candidate's CV
