The Grant to Accelerate Global Enagement (GAGE) was implemented in 2020 as a response to the Global pandemic which resulted in the ANA offering a virtual annual meeting. The virtual platform presented an ideal opportunity to enage acedemic neurologists and neuroscientists from organizations in Low to Lower-middle-income countries to participate in the annual meeting. Organizations comprised of neurologist/neuroloogy trainees engaged in clinical care, research and/or medical educaiton in an LLMIC setting whose practice was focused on the care of children and/or adults with neurological disorders were invited to apply for this grant.
Three organizations received $1500 in funds which was used to support connectivity and assist with with local face-to-face satellite meeting links to the annual meeting.
The organizations receiving the grants were:
- Neurological Society of KenyaAga Khan Unversity
- Neurlogy Faculty Resident Grup of Insittue of Medicine
- University of Zambia Post-Graduate Neurology Training Program
The GAGE program will be offered in 2021 as the ANA2021 Annual Meeting being offered as a virtual meeting again this year.
