2020 GRANT TO ACTIVATE GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT(GAGE)

Since 1875, as a premier professional society of academic neurologists and neuroscientists devoted to understanding and treating diseases of the nervous system, the American Neurological Association has been at the forefront of research and practice. This year, the ANA annual meeting will be a virtual meeting offering an ideal opportunity for you and your colleagues to attend and learn more about all that ANA has to offer.

The GAGE funding opportunity is aimed at helping facilitate your organization’s involvement in the ANA2020 Virtual Annual Meeting

Who is eligible?    

Any organization or group of neurologists/neurology trainees engaged in clinical care, research and/or medical education in a LLMIC setting* whose practice is focused on the care of children and/or adults with neurological disorders.

Up to $1500 to support attendance at the virtual meeting by neurologists in your organization. Funding requests might include supporting connectivity or providing funding for a local face-to-face satellite meeting that links into the ANA annual meeting as well. Any requests that will enable neurologists in your setting to participate will be considered.

Application Requirements

Upload a 1-2 page Word Doc or PDF  that includes the following: 

  1. Brief description of the group applying. (For example, academic neurologists from a teaching facility, a neurological society, a training program). Include:
    • Who is on the team?
    • What is the purpose of the organization? 
  2. What do you  hope to gain from participating in the ANA2020 Virtual Annual Meeting
  3. What is needed to facilitate your team's involvement in the meeting
    • A detailed budget is appreciated

Note: Priority will be given to proposed activities that engage multiple neurologists, include junior neurologists and offer some sustained capacity.
