The mission of the American Neurological Association Archives is to maintain and preserve the historical records of the Association, to promote interest in the history of and development of the Association, and to foster interest in the history of medicine and neurology.

Introduction to the Archives

The American Neurological Association Archives makes use of all available resources to fulfill its mission.  The ANA Archives are currently housed at the following location:

The Beginning of the Archives

An official interest began in 1918 with a goal to compile 50 years of history in honor of the semi-centennial anniversary of the ANA.

Initial Finding

The first record and the last letter from a founding member before his death in 1931.

The Gallery

Photos of important historical figures, meetings, and caricatures, and other memorabilia.
